Professional Activities and Interests
Lara Khansa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Information Technology. She received the Ph.D. in Information Systems, M.S in Computer Engineering, and MBA in Finance and Investment Banking from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and B.E. in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut. Her primary research interests include the economics of information security and regulatory economics, and their implications for IT innovation and the future of the IT industry landscape. Dr. Khansa has published in the European Journal of Operational Research, the Communications of the ACM, and Computers and Security journal. She is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society.
